"From grassroots to champions"
Makindye Advanced Community Initiative (MACI) is a registered community-based organization, registration number MAK/25/0017 dedicated to empowering youth and creating champions from Ghettos and slums of Makindye division through football talent development and promotion. MACI aims to foster positive mindsets, restore hope, produce professional footballers and create opportunities like academic scholarships for vulnerable talented youth aged 10 to 22.
Since its establishment in 2024, MACI has successfully organized events like the “MACI BALL 2025 & MACI BALL 2026” football tournaments, the organization has organized multiple friendlies and participated in competitive tournaments to create exposure and networking opportunities for grass root footballers.
MACI has actively promoted youth engagement and exposure through its media program "football grassroot stories" by capturing short documentaries about grassroot footballers sharing their experience, dreams and challenges. MACI holds social media platforms, notably TikTok(@macinariz).

A story about a sixteen year old talented footballer with dreams to become a professional footballer and also to complete his studies.
The "football grassroots stories Uganda" program gives free media coverage opportunities to grassroots footballers in the ghettos and slums to expose themselves.
MACI BALL Football tournament.
MACI BALL is a prestigious annual competitive male football tournament aimed at creating unforgettable and exciting experience for grassroot footballers, spectators and sponsors.The tournament targets sports development, youth empowerment and community engagement.
The latest edition " MACI BALL 2026" took place at Musenyu grounds in kampala-Salama rd, 13 teams competed from 6th July 2026 to 27th July 2026 with Seruganda as winners and Albadanz as runners up.
