MACI BALL FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

The MACI BALL is an annual prestigious male football tournament featuring teams across Uganda, aimed at sports development, youth empowerment and community engagement. The tournament was initiated in 2025 by Makindye advanced community initiative to create an exciting & entertaining experience for players, spectators and sponsors.

The tournament's objectives are:

To provide a platform for talented grassroots footballers to showcase their skills.
To promote a healthy competition and sportsmanship among participants.
To promote sports development and youth empowerment in the country.
To foster community engagement and social cohesion through football.
To create a platform where grass root footballers can earn academic scholarships.

Target audience:

16-25 years, from diverse backgrounds
Football enthusiasts and fans
Local communities

The tournament's first edition "MACI BALL 2025" started on 5th May 2025 and ended on 23rd May 2025.

It featured eight teams across Uganda, Seruganda won Albadanz 2:0 in the finals.

The “MACI BALL 2026” is the latest and second edition male football tournament organized by Makindye advanced community initiative, featuring 13 teams from across Uganda. The event started on 6^th July 2026 & ended on 27th July 2026 in Salama-Badongo LC1 at Musenyu grounds. The tournament was won by Seruganda (2) and Albadanz (1) as runner up. The tournament promoted a healthy competition, sportsmanship, community engagement and also provided a platform for grass root footballers to showcase their skills.

SERUGANDA FC.

Seruganda Fc. is a football team in Makindye division with a group of talented grass root footballers, it has competed in both MACI BALL 2025 and MACI BALL 2026 and won both editions against Albadanz in the finals.

They have dominated the two editions of MACI BALL male football tournaments.
