In Makindye division, a significant proportion of talented vulnerable youth, aged 10-22 in ghettos and slums face challenges such as limited football playing fields, football equipments, modern training facilities and exposure.

This contributes to high levels of low self-esteem and engagement in negative activities. Many vulnerable young talented people lack access to structured training, mentorship, and pathways to professional football, hindering their potential to become productive members of society.

This gap not only affects individual livelihoods but also perpetuates social challenges within the community, emphasizing the urgent need to support MACI’s comprehensive youth empowerment program that nurtures and builds talents, and fosters positive societal engagement.

The organization’s sports activities are hindered by limited football equipment, coaching staff charges and playing field charges.

Despite the organization’s efforts, there remains a pressing need for more football items and funding to facilitate the comprehensive program that can systematically identify talented youth, provide targeted training and foster mentorship.
